Upcycled Stool

Well, I finished another project using my fabric from
Poppy Seed Fabrics
I got this old stool from my mom, she has had it in her garage forever. It wasn't quite my style so she said I could do whatever I wanted with it. I thought it would make the perfect Naughty Spot Stool.

This is the top (my mom insisted I keep this fabric)

I took the cushion off and painted the base white. Then I covered the cushion with my fabric from Poppy Seed Fabrics. I just stapled it over the top. Here's my end result:

Here's a better picture of the fabric I used:

I have to tell you it's even prettier in person, the colors are so vibrant!

Don't forget to head on over to Poppy Seed Fabrics and check out her amazing selection of fabric.

Also, soon she'll be getting  the Dr. Seuss "The cat in the hat" this collection features some awesome, bright color prints, from pictures and characters from the books.

I have to admit I'm feeling pretty tempted to get some of this fabric, it's so cute! Cat in the Hat is my son's favorite book right now!

Looks so pretty- great job on this! Y'know, I am such a dummy because a few years ago, I threw away a perfectly good footstool. Of course, NOW I know I could've painted & recovered it but back then- well...can't cry over spilled milk & thrown away stools, I guess. Just seeing how wonderful yours turned out just makes me wanna kick myself again! =P It's really beautiful. Be blessed, Karyl
