The Hubs went out of town this weekend, so what's a girl to do?
Paint the house of course!
When we bought our home and fixed it up, I had a hard time deciding on some of the paint colors. Basically, anything I couldn't decide on, ended up being a cream color. I figured I would change the paint colors eventually. So far I've repainted the living room and dinning room, but I've really been wanting to do the master bathroom. So since I had a few days with only one toddler, I thought it would be a great time to do it.
It's a blue-ish, green-ish, gray-ish color. I don't have a ton of natural light in our bathroom so the pictures came out bit darker than it actually is. Every time I go in there it makes me happy, and the best part is, the Hubby loves it too!
I also made a couple of changes to our bedroom. I bought new duvet cover from CSN Stores, and painted an old headboard that belonged to my family (it was just wood before). And the nightstands received a fresh coat of paint.
I've been wanting a new duvet for sometime, but I felt like it was one of those things, that I needed, but didn't really need. Since I had the opportunity to do a product review with CSN, I thought it was the perfect time to treat myself.
The duvet is the City Scene Henna and it rang in for just under $60.
I have to tell you, I was a little nervous getting this, because I have a cal king bed, and the bedding only went up to a king. Well, since I loved the design I went ahead and got it anyway.
Guess what it fits! Yep, I love it. I have to say, my favorite part about it, is the fact that it's double sided.
Here's what the other side looks like- pretty much the same but much smaller.
Overall, we are very happy with our changes. Thank you CSN for the great new duvet cover!

Your bedroom is gorgeous! LOVE that wall color!
We had our home repainted last year (everything was a light beige...blah) and I was so nervous choosing colors. I still did not go as warm as I wanted but I feel like next time I will be able to do so.
The color on your bedroom walls is what I would like to do something similar too next time..in about 5 years hubby said... LOL
That looks so great! I love love love the flowers and the mirror in the bathroom!

I LOVE the art work you have over your bed- where did you get it from?
